This I [now] know is true: guys and girls cannot be friends. But they can be friendly [like in passing on the street corner]. Perhaps I was a bit naive to ever think otherwise. Tonight, I consider myself told. As in when, nearly a year ago, he told me to lose his number after a real date [the previous two years filled with friend dates] went terribly wrong and I had to [reluctantly] sing the I'm just not that into you tune. 

So the verdict is in. And Harry is right.  And now I know.
